You can now enjoy reduced mid-week rates for Be Kind to Yourself Breaks: 10% off our low-season prices with B&B starting from €27 per person sharing. Be Kind to Yourself guests can also avail of twice daily free guided meditations and reflexology or craniosacral therapy sessions at a 20% reduction (pre-booking for therapies is essential).

Recent research in positive psychology shows that improved self-compassion increases our feelings of wellbeing and decreases anxiety and depression. One of the key principles of self-compassion is to Be Kind To Yourself.

The ancient wisdom of the Buddhist tradition also emphasises the crucial importance of responsible self-care. In this spirit of generosity to our deepest needs, our spiritual director Sogyal Rinpoche, in his worldwide bestseller The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, describes meditation as the greatest gift that we can give ourselves; at Dzogchen Beara we offer this gift to all of our guests and visitors in the form of twice daily free guided meditations.

Every morning, guests at Dzogchen Beara are welcome to attend a calming meditation session in our cliff-top shrine room with its floor-to ceiling windows offering spectacular ocean views. If you wish, in the afternoon, you can participate in a guided Loving Kindness session in the beautiful Care Centre meditation room, and learn a simple method to develop unconditional love, which starts with nurturing a more healthy and loving relationship with ourselves.
