“Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.” Thich Nhat Hanh
Enjoy a bank holiday weekend experiencing mindfulness in action through meditation and relaxed walking on beautiful trails in West Cork.
This popular event focuses on cultivating mindfulness in action, combining morning and evening meditation with leisurely, contemplative walks.
Strolling together on local trails there is time to chat and get to know your fellow retreatants and also periods of silence conducive to periods of more contemplative walking.
Invitations to pause, to be still and simply present with the sights, sounds and scents of the world around you will infuse your experience. Sharing the beauty of nature, in the silent presence of others, we start to see that the same beauty of nature is also reflected in the heart of everyone.
This event is suitable for people new to meditation as well as those with previous experience.
All walks will be at a leisurely pace and suitable for anyone with a basic level of fitness. While all walks are on recognised local trails, they all include some rough ground so walking boots are essential.
Location
The retreat will be held in our clifftop shrine room, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular ocean views. All walks are all within 10 km drive of Dzogchen Beara. Car sharing to walks will be organised.
