Mindful Eating

‘Food for thought’
Wednesday 11 September 10:30am to 2pm

We’re delighted to participate in the A Taste of West Cork Festival again this year. Participants on our retreats often comment on the quality of the food we offer and many visitors enjoy lunches and baking in the café, or our vegetarian buffet which is available all year round.

We have always been keen gardeners and are delighted to offer this special one day experience as an opportunity for you to sample the best of what Dzogchen Beara offers, for body and soul.

Begin the day by relaxing your mind and body with a one hour guided introduction to meditation. This session is suitable for everyone, no experience needed, seats provided and no special postures required!

The meditation session will be followed by a leisurely tour of the centre and its beautiful grounds, including the clifftop meditation garden, Ireland’s only stupa (a traditional Buddhist monument), a brief talk at the gates of the site where we are building Ireland’s first Buddhist temple. and an overview of the centre’s 30 year history.

After the walk enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch prepared with organic vegetables grown on the site, served in the shrine room with sweeping panoramic views of sea and sky.
