This retreat is open to anyone with previous experience of meditation.

This is a 7-day retreat, please register only if you can attend the full week.

Practicing meditation in a retreat environment is a special opportunity to refine our practice, enhance our understanding and simply enjoy a taste of the peace of mind and deep sense of well being that meditation brings.

The retreat will include; inspirational video teachings on meditation by leading contemporary teachers, extended periods of meditation and silence, in-depth meditation instruction and clarification through questions/answers with experienced instructors.

Also included is walking meditation and other light exercises, sessions focusing on how to integrate our practice in daily life and optional participation in daily Loving Kindness practice.

The retreat will also feature optional Kum Nye movement sessions, to energise and harmonise mind and body.

Free Spirit

Our Free Spirit programme reflects the wish that finances should not be a barrier for people wishing to attend events – so for Free Spirit events we do not set a retreat fee and charge only to cover catering costs. After that you are invited to make an offering according to your means, to help cover the costs of hosting the retreat and to ensure that Free Spirit events continue into the future, but there is no obligation. Concession rates and flexible payment options are available for all other retreats.


The retreat will be held in our clifftop shrine room, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular ocean views.


Delicious two course vegetarian lunches, with soup and bread in the evenings. Cooked with love at Dzogchen Beara, using homegrown and organic ingredients whenever possible. Tea and coffee.

Andrew Warr
Andrew Warr has had a regular meditation practice for 40 years and has been studying and practicing Buddhist meditation since 1982. He has been teaching meditation for over 30 years and since 2001 has been leading courses, seminars, and retreats, principally on the subject of loving kindness, in Europe, Australia and North America. With great clarity, warmth and humour, Andrew skilfully guides people through the teachings and practices, and shows how these can be applied to our everyday life.
