Visiting Teachers 2016

We’re putting the finishing touches to our 2016 programme and will share it with you soon. We’re delighted to give a preview of an inspirational line up of five of the world’s most renowned teachers who will teach at Dzogchen Beara in 2016! We can hardly believe that it’s true…


Sharon Salzberg (May 13-15) is a New York Times Best selling author and teacher who has played a crucial role in the introduction of Buddhist meditation practices in the West. Sharon co-founded the Insight Meditation Society with Jack Kornfield and Joseph Goldstein. This will be her third visit to Dzogchen Beara.


Her Eminence Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche (20-22 May) is one of the very few fully trained female Rinpoches in the Tibetan tradition and is making her first trip to Ireland on this occasion.


Sogyal Rinpoche is a world-renowned teacher, author of the spiritual classic, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying and Spiritual Director of Dzogchen Beara. Rinpoche returns to lead the annual Summer Retreat (1-10 July) which will mark the 30th anninversary of his first visit.


Tsoknyi Rinpoche (4-6 Nov) is a Nepalese Tibetan Buddhist teacher and author who has been teaching students worldwide about the innermost nature of mind in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for over 21 years. This is Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s first visit to Ireland.


Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is a learned master trained in all schools of Tibetan Buddhism and is the Official Representative of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa for Europe. Rinpoche will be back for the 25th consecutive year to Dzogchen Beara, on dates to be confirmed.
