Dzogchen Beara is Rigpa’s dedicated long-term retreat centre—the Drubdra.
In retreat we benefit from the three components which support us in integrating the benefit of our practice into daily life – right environment, practice in formal sessions, and integrating during the breaks.
More than 300 Rigpa students have undertaken closed retreats at Dzogchen Beara—whether accumulating Ngöndro, completing Tsa Sum practices, or entering solitary retreat. Many others have engaged in personal retreats, focusing on their current practice priorities.
As our sangha matures spiritually, more of us feel called to deepen our experience in retreat. To help make this possible, financial assistance is available via Study and Practice grants from the Terton Sogyal Foundations, and Dzogchen Beara offers flexible payment plans, so you can pay the fee over time.

Personal retreats for Rigpa students
Personal Retreats are an opportunity to go much deeper into practice, whether you are accumulating Ngondro, practicing meditation or loving kindness, or wish to deepen your study. During your personal retreat you are welcome to participate in guided meditation and loving kindness sessions or to join daily group sadhana practices as appropriate.
Dzogchen Beara also has limited places for Dzogchen students to do solitary retreat.
