Exploring Spiritual Care

Morning Workshops at our Spiritual Care Centre

Everyone is welcome to join us on the 1st Wednesday of each month from10:30am to 1pm to explore themes around spiritual care such as accompanying the dying, remembrance, self compassion, forgiveness, caring for others and more.

What do we mean by Spiritual Care?

Spiritual care responds to the needs of the human spirit that often arise during times of difficulty or transition. These may include:

  • The need for meaning and understanding
  • The need to be listened to with care and respect
  • Emotional and spiritual support during illness, loss, or dying
  • Support for faith, ritual, or spiritual reflection
  • The need for connection, dignity, and reassurance

Spiritual care begins with compassionate human presence and unfolds according to what matters most to each individual. In each session we will explore what these topics mean for us and se how we can bring these skilss and learnings into our own lives.

The workshops are held by our Spiritual Care Team of  experienced educators John Douglas, Bernie Jeffery, Alvina Cassidy and Kirsten DeLeo.
