Temple Inauguration, Teachings and Empowerments
An exceptionally rare and significant event in Rigpa’s history when His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche, and His Holiness the 43rd S Gyana Vajra Sakya Rinpoche, will both visit, to inaugurate the Dzogchen Beara Temple and to bestow teachings and empowerments. This event is open to Buddhist students who have taken Refuge
This will be Their Holinesses’ first visit to Ireland—an occasion of deep significance, and an extraordinary blessing. For nearly fifty years, His Holiness Sakya Gongma Trichen Rinpoche has shown immense kindness to the Rigpa Sangha and has been present at some of the most important moments in our spiritual history.
Praised by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as “the King of Vajrayana masters,” His Holiness Gongma Trichen Rinpoche has dedicated his life to preserving, practising, and transmitting the profound traditions of Vajrayana Buddhism, and especially the glorious Sakya lineage. His Holiness the 43rd Sakya Trizin, Gyana Vajra Rinpoche, has for some years accompanied his father on teaching tours around the world, offering empowerments and teachings across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia. Both Their Holinesses teach in fluent English.
You are encouraged to book early as places in the Temple are limited. Please note there is no accommodation available on site.

Donations
Support the Inauguration Event: As we prepare for this historic visit, we are completing the temple’s sacred decoration and AV kit-out, bringing sacred ritual items from India, and landscaping the stupa grounds. This work, as well as hosting of the Lamas, monks and guests, with all other practical costs of the inauguration, requires urgent funding, and we warmly invite your support to help us to prepare and bring the temple to its full beauty in time for this extraordinary event.
