The Cafe and Shop

Enjoy tasty food, good company and a nice shopping experience
We’re open to the public seven days a week so do drop-in if you are in the area.

Welcome to our Cafe and Shop page!

Our cafe is now open daily from 10am-5pm for takeaway service only. Please read our Covid updates here.

Here you will find information for visitors to Dzogchen Beara and information about our new online shop.

Shop: On-site and Online

Check out our new online shop where you can get exclusive and carefully selected Dzogchen Beara items such as meditation cushions, incense, prayer flags, malas, books and more.

Cafe

Our friendly shop and café manager Gabriela and her team offers a warm welcome all year round. Enjoy artisan coffees or gourmet teas, with home-baked treats, fresh from our kitchen. Have a croissant after the drop-in morning meditation or a slice of cake before the afternoon Loving Kindness practice!

Delicious vegetarian lunches are available daily.

Relax and read a book or delight in the constantly changing ocean view, seated at the picture window or a terrace table.

Enjoy a walk: circumambulate Ireland’s first stupa (a sacred Buddhist monument), wander coastal meadows or rest and unwind in the meditation garden. Then take a taste of heaven with you when you leave: the shop also sells local food products as well as our own homemade preserves.

You can order food and drink right up until 16:45 each day.

Garden produce

As much as possible we use organic homegrown ingredients in our cooking. Karen our gardener oversees all the landscaping at Dzogchen Beara, as well as the vegetable garden, creating feasts for the eyes and body alike.

Our Baking

Our cakes, breads, quiche and cookies are baked fresh daily by our trained chefs using organic flour and free range eggs. We can make to order and we also offer gluten-free options.
