Help to Raise the Roof!

“If 30 years ago someone had not envisioned a farmland in this remote region becoming a place of practice, you and I would never be here today. And that seed brought this, and this seed that you plant now, in the next 30 years I’m sure will be hope for everyone.” Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche, Dzogchen Beara 2016

Since Khandro Rinpoche spoke those words and we first broke ground on the temple site in 2016, so much amazing work has been accomplished with the help of so many people. It is with great joy that we are writing to tell you that work has now begun on the copper roofs.

Donate 2

This is a special moment as one benefactor has generously offered to match all donations made in October, up to a total of €50,000.

Can you help us raise the €190,000 needed to Raise the Roof?

This month your donation will be doubled at no extra cost to you! Your €50 becomes €100… €100 becomes €200… €1,000 = €2,000…

All donors’ names will be included on a scroll to be enshrined in the temple when it is complete. You can donate in your name, the name of a loved one, or of somebody who has passed away. The intentions of all donors are prayed for daily by the Dzogchen Beara community.

Based on a traditional Tibetan design, the Trikaya (three level) roofs are made from a golden copper alloy, adapted to withstand Atlantic gales and salt-spray, and are anchored to a web of massive wooden beams to ensure that they don’t blow away!

With your continued support we can all look forward to being together inside the temple, this time next year!
