Day Visits and Mini Retreats

Many groups ask to join our mini-retreats.  This summer we will be running our mini retreat programme  from mid July to September. If your group would like to join one of our mini-retreats please complete this Expression of Interest form and we will be in touch with dates and details.

What are Mini-retreats?

Mini-retreats are half day reterats that are suitable for everyone and no previous experience of meditation or Buddhism is needed.

These relaxed drop-in sessions with experienced meditation teachers are open to the general public but groups can be accommodated easily. The sessions  introduce simple yet profound methods of meditation and contemplation based on the Wisdom and Compassion tradition of Buddhism, that can help bring ease, insight and inspiration into your life, to benefit yourself and others.

After the session enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch prepared with organic vegetables grown on the site, served in the shrine room with sweeping panoramic views of sea and sky.

We are happy to tailor your visit based on your needs so we also offer personalised packages for your group. Please note there is a minimum of 15 people for tailored group visits.

Keeping our minds healthy is essential for young people today and this is being acknowledged more and more in schools in Ireland. Dzogchen Beara offers visits for primary and secondary schools who wish to get to know the centre, receive an introduction to meditation & Buddhism, have a tour of the site or even stay for vegetarian lunch.

We’re more than happy to discuss your needs so please fill out this Expression of Interest form and we’ll be in touch with you soon.

Research has shown that meditation improves focus and concentration, promotes emotional well-being by helping with stress and anxiety, improves sleep quality, reduces pain, improves cardiovascular health and immunity and enhances self-awareness.

  • Introduction to Loving Kindness meditation for developing kindness towards ourselves and others
  • Short Video Presentations
