Ringu Tulku Rinpoche
First Teachings in the Temple
Friday 12 July, 7:30pm to Sunday 14 July, 1pm
We are delighted to announce we are getting ready to host this first retreat in the Dzogchen Beara Temple.
Ringu Tulku has long been a friend and advisor for our community, visiting almost every year since the centre opened. In light of our connection we are especially joyful that Rinpoche is granting teachings on this historic occasion.
Many Tibetan Masters have said extraordinary things about the importance of the Temple for Ireland and for the world, for the protection and liberation of sentient beings, and for the future of the teachings of the Buddha. It has been built to be a beacon of wisdom and compassion shining a light of hope for generations to come. In some ways we could consider this retreat to be the lighting of that flame and everybody is welcome to join.
Dzogchen Beara is a not-for-profit charity. The fees are set at a minimum to cover the costs of the weekend but we have many other daily expenses to keep the centre open. Please consider making a donation where indicated during your booking.
We still need a lot of financial help to complete the Temple by the summer. If you would like to make a donation or to sponsor some aspect of the Temple’s sacred architecture and ornamentation, or to purchase a calligraphy especially created by Ringu Tulku to support the Temple, please do so here.
Donors’ names will be written on a scroll, placed inside a gilded casket and enshrined in the Temple during the inauguration ceremony which will probably happen later this year. You can make a gift in your name or the name of a loved one or friend, or of somebody who has passed away.
We really hope that you will be able to join us on this very special occasion
